Foldables & My first PDA

First of all if you were expecting a love story about public affection well… stay tuned

You probably thinking this title makes no sense but apparently Samsung unveiling their new cellphones that fold has created a new market category called Foldables.  Get it just like smart watches (wearables).

I often laugh when I see how society has fallen in love or actually developed a  scary infatuation with their phones and devices. I laugh because I’ve been an OG (original) Geek since the mid-90s as a teenager. As in I got my first PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) in 8th grade (circa 1994). Thanks to my lovely aunt for being my electronics dealer as kid. Technically if we want queue up some history my first real PDA was a electronic organizer from Radio Shack.  

Now you probably wondering what was a teenager doing with so much tech back in the day when hardly few had computers at home and schools libraries were starting to incorporate more technology into their learning programs. Well — in my little Capricorn Sun/Mercury head I was some kinda business mogul LOL – shame because I didn’t even use these devices to keep me organized in school. I have always loved electronics – point blank period. Again I want to offer the upmost thanks and gratitude for my family as I was blessed that my mom recognized early that I took those vtech learning computers and it was wrap from there.

Although I highlighted my first two PDA now lets talk about my true love. There is where most people met me in college 2 years before the ipod came out. I was walking around with my space age device the Sony Clie with proper memory stick listening to bootleg MP3s most likely from Napster and/or IRC.

This device was groundbreaking – color screen, keyboard, camera, external memory slot!

I feel like we are coming full circle now if this is the future.
